Smart Wedding Planning - A Quick Guide to Saving Money on Your Wedding Day
If you've begun to research reception venues, photographers, and other "high-ticket" items on your wedding to-do list, you've undoubtedly experienced a good case of sticker shock by now. You may find yourself thinking: "How can they get away with charging this much?!!"

It's a fact. The wedding industry is huge, and anything with the word "wedding" attached to it is likely to mean "expensive".

So is it feasible to hire a photographer who doesn't necessarily focus on weddings, or a band that wouldn't be found in your local bridal magazine? Absolutely!

To get started on this road less traveled, begin by asking recently-wed family, friends or colleagues for any good wedding leads. Perhaps they'll know of a fabulous bakery that was less expensive than all the larger ones in the area. Or an art student who just graduated from college and is looking for work as a calligrapher. Maybe there's a friend of a friend who's an aspiring  photographer and would be able to capture fantastic wedding photos for you on your big day.

Next, move your research online and check out the local wedding chat boards in your area at TheKnot.com and WeddingChannel.com. Look for posts like "Rave Reviews" and "Highly Recommended" - and be sure to also take note of any vendors that received negative reviews from other brides and grooms. Another excellent free resource is Craigslist.com. Musicians, photographers and other artists post their services regularly here in areas across the country. If you see a post that catches your eye, just send a quick email to the poster to get more information, or submit your own ad describing exactly what you're looking for.

Finally, head to Amazon.com or your local book store and buy at least one good wedding planning book. This will be your trusty reference book and will help you know just which questions to ask, so that you can make an informed decision about a particular wedding vendor. For example, knowing the various costs that are typically associated with catering will allow you to ask for only the items you NEED, and avoid paying for anything you don't. In fact, knowing a bit about each type of wedding service vendor - caterers, musicians, DJs, etc. - will actually help save you money no matter which vendors you talk to, "professional" or not.

With a little outside the box thinking and basic knowledge about the "biz", you're on your way to pulling together a fantastic wedding day that may just cost you less than you think!

Skydive At Its Best
Not surprisingly. Arizona is also a stomping ground for many extreme sport enthusiasts that come to appreciate the beauty of the scenery while experiencing pastimes that are nonconformist. to say the least. Skydiving is no exception. Arizona skydiving has taken on a life of its own as countless fanatics inundate the region for a glimpse of the sky at 10.000 feet.

Over the years. five major skydiving centers have emerged in Arizona: Arizona Skydiving Coolidge; DesertSkydivingCenter; MaranaSkydivingCenter; Skydive Sedona; and Skydive Arizona.

Arizona kydivingCoolidge. located in Coolidge. is one of the most well known drop zones in Arizona. offering tandem. AFF. and static line jumping. This center is more of an experience than a place to learn and jump. With restaurants. camping. a bar. and even a pool. this location has several amenities to please everyone. not just those jumping.

DesertSkydivingCenter. located in Buckeye. also offers tandem. AFF. and static line jumping. While considerably smaller than Coolidge and providing fewer amenities. this site focuses more on basics while offering more of a “home” environment.

MaranaSkydivingCenter. located in Marana. only offering tandem and static line jumping. focuses more on the novice jumper. Also providing few amenities other than the basics. this is a good place for those starting out.

Skydive Sedona. located in Cottonwood. offers tandem and AFF.Also less commercial than some of its counterparts. this is a cozy drop zone.Presenting incredible views of red rock cliffs and distant snowcapped mountains. Sedona offers an experience like no other.

Skydive Arizona. located in Eloy. is similar to Coolidge. and provides the more commercial features as restaurants. a bar. and a pool.Offering tandem and AFF. the one shortcoming is the lack of static line jumping.However. the other amenities far outweigh this deficiency.

Whether soaring with the birds or watching in awe from the ground. Arizona is an extraordinary place to experience the sport of skydiving.

Skepticism In Society These Days
The topic might have been more true in olden days when ignorance was bliss. It is not as relevant with todays society. Skepticism is a part of human nature and will always remain so. Suspicion and mistrust come either from lack of experience or from bad past experiences. It is often when something or someone fails to meet ones expectations or acts contrary to accepted belief that one develops a sense of suspicion or mistrust for all future activities.

Galileo, Copernicus proposed groundbreaking theories. What they said was totally contrary to the then prevailing belief. They were accused of heresy and mistreated. It is now we term them as experts who were simply ahead of their time. Today George Bush has declared war on Iraq, but without full support of the world. Being American President, he is supposed to be the most powerful man on earth. Even after clarifying his motives and goals, there are many theories and rumours about his real objectives of the war which range from US taking control of Iraq's oil to taking control of the world.

If you take the field of journalism and news reporting, there is always a sense of mistrust in the minds of the people watching or reading the news. Very reputed and famous newspapers and channels have been accused and quite sometimes proved of giving biased reports and in a way influencing peoples beliefs. Politics has been time tested. There won't be any country whose citizens believe their leaders and politicians are clean and god-men. No matter what happens in politics, people always try to know the background objectives of the politicians. This mistrust and suspicion comes from experiences through the ages and will no doubt remain in the future.

Similar things happen in the corporate business world. Enron, a multi billion dollar company 3-4 years back is now considered as a case study of how a business can collapse on falsely built ideals. The market experts who could not predict the Enron disaster are being chided by investors. Arthur Andersen, supposed to be the numero uno of accounting and consulting is now nowhere. The experts in lure of money manipulated papers and are now cooling their heels behind bars. In this scenario, common people start losing their faith in these big names. This has happened over the years everywhere.

It is because of misappropriations and bad deals by few people who give an entire industry a bad name. Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton will be remembered more for the scandals they indulged in. Talking about politicians, there are actually honest and morally upright guys who enter the field with a magnanimous thought of improving and uplifting society. Even their policies and decisions are taken apart by people to know what personal motives are hidden behind these honest faces. Even if an Olympic runner runs a superb race without any drugs, there are rumours thick and fast that banned steroids might be the case and so testing is necessary. One rotten mango spoils the whole lot or can we say- gives the whole lot a bad grade.

Six Amazing Accessories For Your Cinderella Or Princess Wedding
Some elements of the Cinderella wedding are downright obvious -- the extra-full ball gown, the elbow-length gloves. And let's not forget the pumpkin carriage that's sure to show up somewhere, whether it be the place cards, the centerpieces, or a giant prop piece near the entrance.

But with Princess weddings -- as with any other kind -- it's the details that make the difference, and getting those right often brings the bride the most satisfaction. Here are some suggestions for feeling that Cinderella magic right down to your glass-slippered toes.

The Headband

No one will fault you for wearing a crystal-studded royal tiara and necklace set. But Cinderella herself wore something a little different. The Disney movie was created in the 50s, when headbands were all the rage, and Ella herself seemed especially partial to them. Even on her wedding day, she wore a sparkling headband right on the top of her crown, in the simple 50s style. A waltz or ballet length veil sat low on the back of her head, almost at the nape of her neck. Without much difficulty, you can still find a rhinestone-studded wedding headband today.

The Neckwear

Cinderella's choice of neckwear was a little more timeless. Often, you'll see her don a simple one-stranded pearl choker. But it seems that her favorite adornment was the satin ribbon choker, which she wore in racy, Nicole Kidman-style black. You might not want to be as daring as Cinderella at your wedding, but the satin choker is fabulous, especially if you can purloin an antique ribbon from a beloved grandmother. Now you're the walking embodiment of elegance, and you have "something old" covered.

The Glass Slippers

It's common knowledge that you can get dramatic "glass slippers" (actually vinyl) for your royal stroll down the aisle. But glass slippers come in more casual, comfortable forms as well. Look for the open-toed variety, which give off all that fairytale spark, but leave your tootsies cool when it's time to dance the night away. Sure, Prince Charming might find these less useful as a bridal homing device, but he's already found his princess.

The Bluebirds of Happiness

Bluebirds played a major role in Cinderella's rise to the top, yet they usually get short shrift at a princess-theme wedding. Don't forget these perennial symbols of nuptial good luck at yours. A lovely way to include them is to track down a small bluebird keepsake charm or clip you can affix to your garter, toasting flutes or bouquet. Hallmark has one that simply glows. There you have it -- "something blue."

The Dove Release

You could argue that this isn't an accessory, but it's our article, so we're calling it one. Doves aren't the key characters in Disney's version that they were in the original Grimm story -- and thank goodness for that -- but they still define the moment when the prince and princess unite in marriage. For any Cinderella wedding, they're a must.

But some "dove" handlers (the doves are actually white homing pigeons) have something more to offer the princess bride, such as ornate pumpkin coach carriages that double as cages. These can be placed near the altar for some romantic cooing action, then rolled down the aisle for a dramatic release once you've become husband and wife. For the biggest fireworks-like sensation, release the first two doves yourselves, but let pro handlers manage the rest.

The Guestbook Picture Frame

If you're true Cinderella aficionado, those full-color Walt Disney prints of the royal couple probably get your heart beating a little faster. Buy one framed with a large white matte. Or if you really want the signature frame but don't want the $150 price tag, buy the print separately and make a few patient trips to the thrift store. At a large one, you'll typically find a dizzying sample of frames and mattes you can usually get for pocket change. That's quite the return on something you'll love looking at for years.

Simplify Your Search For Senior Living In California - Use A Referral Agency
The search for senior living can be overwhelming, when the time comes that it is no longer an option for the senior to reside at home. How does one find the most appropriate facility or senior community for themselves or their loved one? In California, choices abound! Seniors are provided with a mind boggling selection of alternatives to living at home, providing a level of safety and quality of daily living, that they are unable to receive on their own. It takes patience, energy, legwork and expertise to make the right choice… to find a loving environment that will best meet personal, social, financial and healthcare needs. But, how does one navigate the system and make the appropriate choice? A Referral Placement Agency can be the answer. Gain peace of mind knowing that you have the help of knowledgeable people helping to connect you with the facilities positioned to meet yours or your loved one’s needs.

Referral Placement Agencies are all unique and each have created their own model of service. To the benefit of the consumer, their services are at no cost to the senior or to the family. Typically, the agency receives a fee from the facility chosen by the senior or their family. It is of utmost importance that the agency represents the senior’s needs foremost, instead of trying to fit a “square peg into a round hole” as they provide facility recommendations! Be sure that the agency refers to a broad spectrum of facilities, not just a select few.

Choosing the right agency can ease your search dramatically. Working with a Referral Placement Agency can be an efficient process, saving you time and anguish.

There are a number of important factors to consider to help make the right choice.

• Is the agency State licensed enabling them to refer to the full continuum of facilities?

• Does the agency have sufficient staff to handle your call when you need assistance or are you waiting in a queue or leaving a message?

• Are they available to you after-hours, when you may need it most?

• Does the agency do an in depth intake to fully understand the personal needs of the senior so that they can provide the best facility matches?

• Does the agency provide “fresh”, detailed & accurate facility information? Do they know which places speak “Russian” and who will take a pet?

• Do key individuals in the agency maintain State certifications, formally confirming their knowledge of the regulations that govern the long-term industry?

• Will they take the time to check availability to meet your specifications?

• Do they have the expertise to provide helpful hints on what to look for to streamline comparing facilities?

• Do they understand the payor sources. Do they know what the government programs provide and under what criteria?

• Can the agency assist you regarding the next steps needed to facilitate the move?

• Is the agency out and about in the community performing onsite visits to the facilities they have recommended?

• Does the agency provide a “hand’s on” follow-up service, available to you to answer questions to ease the senior’s transition?
